Thank you for designing all those beautiful lace designs.  I broke my shoulder and elbow and wasn’t able to sew for over a year, so I made a lot of freestanding lace because I could just let it stitch out.  I was thrilled to see how creatively you used the Lace Bowl Combi 7 designs to make the lace Christmas tree.  I found some glass cone vases that make a perfect form for the trees.  My husband is a woodturner and made custom bases for the glass cones so I could light them up in the evening.  He also does bead work and I’ve asked him to design and make angel tree toppers out of Swarovski crystal beads for the trees.  That will give him something to do this winter.I combined the lace sections in my 4D software so I could stitch out one half of a circle in one hooping without having to join each individual section with zigzag stitch.  There are one million stitches in each one of the trees!  I’ve stitched out 7 trees for Christmas gifts this year.  I stitched them out on my Pfaff Creative Vision with cotton thread from Connecting Threads and Mettler 60 wt fine embroidery cotton bobbin thread.  For the green tree I used green Superior Threads 60 wt polyester bobbin thread.  I added Swarovski hotfix crystals for the tree “lights”.For gifts for my friends and family last year I made 70 little heart purses/ornaments out of your Lace Motif 24 design, sewing two of them together with gold cording as a hanger/handle.  I made them in red with gold background and pink with burgundy background.  Everyone loved them.  Thank you, again, for designing so many beautiful lace designs.Andrea
