My name is Iryna McCoskey. I was so happy to by design from Zundtdesign and decided to share my project with you. I was graduated as an Engineer – Pattern maker for Garment factory (Ukrainian Technology University of Light Industry, Kiev, Ukraine) and now live on Alaska and sew for people and stores. This is my favorite project and I hope you will like it also.
This wedding was held in Anchorage, Alaska. The bride is blind by nature and would like to wear this dress not only on her wedding but as evening dress also. Four-ply silk was chosen as a basic fabric. It is heavy enough to keep form and drape well. The most difficult was to find lace fabric right color to match silk fabric, especially on Anchorage fabrics stores. We ordered samples from more then 20 stores in USA and only one was the color what we would like. But as soon we decided to order this lace fabric from vendor it was out in stock and no warranty to order one during nearest two months. The solution was to embroidery lace fabric on embroidery machine. It was made on embroidery machine Brother 6550. I ordered lace set design 204046-50 Lace Galloon Accessory Set, created design from pieces of set, bought … 38 !!! spools “Mattler” shine polyester threads, 1 roll water dissolve stabilizer and in 6 days the top and sleeves were finished. Now you can see result.
